Basic orthopedic diagnostics

Diagnosis is holistic and based on a detailed medical history and a thorough orthopedic examination.
Diagnostic equipment: Ultrasound, laboratory tests, external X-rays/MRI/CT scans.

Serious assessment of surgical indications / second opinion

An informed decision about surgery requires a careful consideration of all medical options. Often, alternative treatment options exist that can avoid or delay surgery. A thorough assessment of surgical indications by an experienced specialist helps objectively evaluate the necessity of the procedure.

Infiltration therapy

Joint infiltrations are medical treatments in which a medication is injected directly into a joint. Their primary purpose is to relieve pain and reduce inflammation. These injections are often used for conditions such as arthritis, osteoarthritis, or joint inflammation (e.g., bursitis or synovitis). Many patients report rapid, noticeable pain relief and an improvement in their quality of life after treatment.

PRP / plasma therapy

In “autologous blood” therapy, blood is drawn from a vein in your arm. Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is then extracted from the blood through centrifugation. This is then injected into the appropriate body region. This therapy offers a natural and biological therapeutic approach by using the body’s own active ingredients from your blood. The indications are diverse: sports injuries to tendons, ligaments, and muscles, as well as osteoarthritis and spinal disorders, can be successfully treated this way.

Hyaluronic acid therapy

Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance that is widely distributed throughout the human body. It plays an important role in joint lubrication, among other things. Therefore, hyaluronic acid is primarily used in the treatment of degenerative joint diseases (osteoarthritis). Administration of hyaluronic acid contributes to pain reduction and improved joint mobility.

Stem cell therapy / SVF therapy

The “stromal-vascular fraction” (SVF for short) refers to the portion of adipose tissue that contains, among other cells, mesenchymal signaling cells and thus has a regenerative effect.

SVF can be removed from the patient using a quick and simple procedure and then directly used for tissue regeneration.

The indications are diverse. People with osteoarthritis, in particular, can benefit from its anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving effects. For patients facing impending joint replacement surgery, this can offer an opportunity to delay or, at best, prevent it.

Shock wave therapy

This non-invasive procedure uses pressure waves that are specifically directed at painful structures of the body. Shock waves not only promote blood circulation but also stimulate the body’s own regeneration processes and, in particular, help relieve tension and inflammation. The therapy is particularly effective for tendon and muscle injuries, such as heel spurs (plantar fasciitis), tennis or golfer’s elbow, Achilles tendonitis, calcified shoulder, muscle tension, patellar tendonitis (jumper’s knee), as well as tendon irritations and injuries.

Laser therapy

Laser therapy is a medical treatment that uses concentrated light to stimulate a process known as photobiomodulation (PBM). During PBM, photons penetrate the tissue and trigger a cascade of biological events that can stimulate cellular metabolism. This promotes the body’s natural healing mechanisms, supports regeneration, and activates cellular energy production. This can reduce pain and inflammation and accelerate the natural healing process.

Sports orthopedics

Sports orthopedics is a medical specialty that comprehensively deals with the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and rehabilitation of sports-related injuries and damage. It not only examines acute and chronic complaints that can arise from sporting activities, but also focuses on the effects of exercise on the human body, as well as performance optimization and health promotion through sport.

The responsibilities of sports orthopedics include the analysis of overuse injuries, the treatment of muscle, tendon, and joint injuries, and the development of injury prevention strategies. It also plays a crucial role in the rehabilitation of athletes, enabling a quick and safe return to sport.

Sports orthopedics serves a broad target group: It cares for both recreational athletes seeking balance from everyday life through sporting activity and elite athletes whose physical demands are particularly intense. Through individually tailored therapies and training concepts, it helps maintain health and prevent injuries. IHHT training is often used to improve athletic performance.

Chiropractic

Chirotherapy (also known as manual therapy or chiropractic) is a medical treatment method that uses targeted manual techniques to treat dysfunctions of the musculoskeletal system. It is often used to treat back pain, joint blockages, and misalignments.

Kinesiotaping

This gentle technique uses elastic tape applied to the skin to stabilize muscles and joints without restricting mobility. Kinesio taping promotes circulation, relieves inflammation and strain, and is often used for sports injuries.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a traditional Chinese healing method in which fine needles are inserted into specific points on the body to harmonize energy flow and balance the Qi. It has been successfully used for over 2,000 years to treat acute and chronic pain (e.g., back pain, joint pain, migraines), stress reduction, sleep disorders, and numerous other conditions.
